That is a good way to discipline students, I think, because that makes students to understand the serious situation they will face if they do not behave properly: how embrassing it is when everyone keeps staring at you and your parent in classroom.
For parents, it is an embrassment as well. They will have to get a day-off and stay in classroom with teenagers. That makes them to understand the seriousness of the situation in which their children are. They will have to spend more time on their children's behaviour and cooperate with the school in finding methods to help their kids.
Furthermore, schools might not need to suspend students any more. Suspension can be the last option.
In conclusion, that is a good way for students, parents and schools.
